CHCPRT001 – Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk
ABOUT THE COURSE
This training will provide you with the necessary skills needed to assist and protect children and young people who are in danger. Participants will head from this course with a clear understanding of how to create a workplace environment that cares for, and respects children and young people.
You will learn about the following topics:

Legislative responsibilities.

Service Policies and Procedures
Using Effective Communication
Techniques
-
Report Indications of a Possible Risk of Harm
-
Apply Ethical and Nurturing Practices.

Identification and Reporting of Abuse
or Neglect
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must be at least 18 years of age. Participants must also:

Present photo ID.

Provide their USI.
-
Have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
TRAINING & ASSESSMENT
Students will be taught by industry professionals and receive learning materials which they keep for future reference. Assessment is via written questions, verbal questions, and case study/simulated environment assessment tasks.
PRICE
The course is for $150 which also includes the CPR Certificate.
