About The Course
If you want to star working at a establishment that provides Gambling Services in NSW, it is a requirement of the government that employees must completed the NSW Provide Responsible Gambling Services course (RCG). This course enforces Regulation & Legislation of the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs sectors in NSW.
You will learn about the following topics:
Responsible Gambling
Harm Minimisation
How to Deal with a Problem Gambler
Gambling Signs and Advertising
Gambling Laws in Australia
For dates, times and locations, check the OLI Website. Courses run on a regular basis and are 7 hours in duration. OLI offers Face- to-Face training at the following locations:
North Sydney.
Epping.
Kellyville.
Liverpool.
Online via digital platforms.
The course is for $120 which also includes the $40 RCG Card fee.
Students must be at least 16 years of age. Participants must also:
Present photo ID.
Provide their USI.
Have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
Students will be taught by industry professionals and receive learning materials which they keep for future reference. Assessment is via written questions, verbal questions, and case study/simulated environment assessment tasks.
Upon successful completion of the SITHGAM022 Provide Responsible Gambling Services, you will receive an Interim Certificate which is valid for 90 days and allows you to work immediately.
After 90 days, to obtain the RCG competency card, the Interim RCG Certificate is to be taken to a registered Services NSW office to apply.
The RCG card is valid for 5 years. You must show it to work in any licenced establishment.
