About The Course
If you are starting a career in hospitality, and wish to work in any kitchen premises in NSW this is the certificate you will need. The course will teach you about the hygiene practices to prevent food contamination, identify food hazards and food safety procedures. This course is also suitable for international students and other VISA holders.
You will learn about the following topics:
Organisational Hygiene and Food Safety Procedures
Identify Food Hazards that Affects the Health and Safety
Remove or Minimise the Hygiene Hazard
Prevent Food Contamination
For dates, times and locations, check the OLI Website. Courses run on a regular basis and are 5 hours in duration. OLI offers Face- to-Face training at the following locations:
North Sydney.
Epping.
Kellyville.
Liverpool.
Online via digital platforms.
The course is for $80 which also includes the Certificate.
Students must be at least 18 years of age. Participants must also:
Present photo ID.
Provide their USI.
Have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
Students will be taught by industry professionals and receive learning materials which they keep for future reference. Assessment is via written questions, verbal questions, and case study/simulated environment assessment tasks.

Once a competent mark is awarded, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment and a Statement of Testamur with the relevant unit code: SITXFSA005 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety.
